Shop Work

Portable Machining
Geo-Tech Industries Inc. specializes in the design and manufacture of custom machines for in-situ metal removal, utilizing pneumatic or hydraulic power sources to deliver precision and efficiency. Our innovative solutions have enabled us to successfully complete unique and challenging projects, including: Plate resurfacing to restore flatness and functionality. Removing "scallops" from a tub handle inside a recovery boiler. Machining a rail supporting a 700-ton astrophysical observation dome on a telescope in Hawaii, achieving an accuracy of 0.020 inches over a 110-foot diameter. Our capabilities are powered by 25 H.P. hydraulic systems, which drive cutting heads, rotate vessels, and perform journal resurfacing with exceptional precision. Overlay Welding
Geo-Tech Industries Inc. has developed and perfected a continuous Submerged Arc Overlay Process, utilizing A.S.M.E.-registered procedures to deliver exceptional results. This innovative process allows for the in-situ application of weld overlay to internal surfaces, providing two key benefits:
- Building up corroded areas to restore original thickness or increase corrosion allowance.
- Applying corrosion-resistant materials to protect internal surfaces from further degradation

Geo-Tech Industries Inc. is a Recognized Testing Agency (RTA) certified by Technical Safety BC (TSBC).
